Media Executive and President of Fennell Media LLC
Art Fennell is an Emmy-Award winning, nationally known veteran journalist. He has anchored nightly news programs and reported for NBC, CBS, BET and TV One and has been honored with more than 100 media and community service awards during his career. Fennell is also a seasoned writer who has journeyed around the world telling compelling stories using his expert photography. He is currently in the final phase of a book titled “Legacy, An Entrepreneurial Journey Through a Divided America.”
By way of additional background, Fennell is proficient in all aspects of media, both in print, broadcast and social media. He is a team player with excellent leadership skills and communications ability. His most recent broadcast assignment was Executive Producer and Anchor of “Art Fennell Reports”, a candid news magazine program focusing on national and regional news, issues and interviews with national newsmakers.
Among his many accolades, Fennell has been named “Journalist of the Year” for his work in the Philadelphia region and has won an Emmy Award for “Outstanding News Anchor” in the Mid-Atlantic region. He also received an Emmy for his Documentary “Terror In Tulsa, History Uncovered”, which tells the story of the black Wall Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Fennell is a former National President of the National Association of Black Journalists and is currently President of FENNELL MEDIA, a multi-media production company primarily focusing on telling the stories of interesting people all over the world.
Born and raised in Bennettsville, South Carolina, Fennell is guided by his faith in God and his moral compass in life. He has two daughters and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds a communications degree with honors from South Carolina State University.
